Last Thursday marked a special date on the calendar: TD SYNNEX Skûtsjesilen 2026. As a TD SYNNEX partner, we were invited to spend a day sailing on the Frisian lakes, starting from the picturesque village of Sloten. Naturally, we didn't need to be asked twice.

The morning kicked off with registration at De Mallemok, where the atmosphere quickly filled up with partners from across the TD SYNNEX network. Around 11.00, the skûtsjes set sail from Sloten, helped along by a solid westerly breeze: plenty of sunshine in the morning, turning intermittently cloudy in the afternoon, classic Frisian sailing weather.

Once on board, there was no turning back, literally, but there was no need to. Between manoeuvring the boat, catching the wind, and chatting with fellow partners, this was exactly the kind of day where you get to know people in a different way than behind a screen or in a meeting room.

Around 17.00, the skûtsjes returned to Sloten, and the day was rounded off with drinks and a BBQ. The perfect moment to look back on the race, the weather, and of course a few good sailing stories.

For the Ultimate Maritime Logistics team, this was a day that fits exactly what we stand for: working together, getting to know each other better, and every now and then stepping outside daily operations. Thank you to TD SYNNEX for organising the day and for the invitation.
